After you answer the questions in the previous post, sit down with piece of paper and pencil and WRITE down the answers, and strip away all the the items that might cause you to carry unecessary or duplicate hardware and software. I realize, (corporate folks, I am talking to YOU!) that your companies may make you carry their issued items, but try to avoid it as much as possible and have your own whenever possible. In this corporate environment you more than likely are a “journeyperson” anyway and easily jettisoned. If you rely on the corporate equipment to do personal things, then get transferred, fired, downsized, whatever, then what??? Be mercenary, think mercenary, be mobile, be effective!

Can you believe the amount of money flying around these days trying to take ours? Meanwhile the landfills keep filling up with all the old failed crap, that always was crap, we were just marketed to death and told to believe different about the products. Well, well, well……….
WAKE UP!!!!!!
Stop buying the “latest gizmo” to appease your own vanity or keep up with your neighbors, or out strip your friends.
Stop letting your mind turn to jello, by letting all the electronics surround you, bathing you in waves of infrared, bluetooth, 3G, 4G, etc. unless you really need too!!!
Start by simply doing this simple formula:
1. Who am I and where the hell am I really going? and what do I really need to apply to accomplish my goals personally and professionally? How can I intelligently coordinate my electronics to maximize me capability and minimize the amount of crap I have to carry around personall and professionally? Plan out at least 2-3 years if at all POSSIBLE!!!
2. What is the BEST software not just for today, but for tomorrow to do this?
3. What is the BEST hardware to run this software?
4. What are the BEST prices and places for the above?

Don’t you ever wonder what is ‘really’ going on in our computer industry? I do. Read all the trades, magazines, articles on the web, blogs, twitters, and it comes down to this. NO ONE PERSON KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON…..I have decided to try to pursue the truth as far as I am able to discern however.
